A Complete Guide To Competitive Exams

A competitive examination is an examination in which candidates are ranked according to their grade and percentile, and then the highest-ranked candidate is selected. If the exam opens up n positions, the top n candidates pass, and the other candidates are rejected. Academic life's journey is fiercely competitive, making it a bit complicated for students to choose the right platform in the right spot. They are used as entrance exams for university and college admissions or secondary school.

In India, JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced and NEET UG, NEET-PG, and NTSE  (at the high school level) are examples of competitive exams. For government exams, we have UPSC,  SSC, RRB, and other state government exams.

Competitive examinations are considered an equal way to select qualified applicants without impacting hawkers, prejudice, or other issues. This type of test puts candidates under peer pressure, and self-motivated candidates will find it much simpler.

Is Upsc Tougher Than Iit, Huh?

If you try to compare, depending on the competitive level, the UPSC has a higher edge than the IIT-JEE. In terms of difficulty, JEE Advanced eats all other tests, including UPSC, for breakfast. First of all, there is a clear difference in the quality of the students taking the exam. Only the science stream (already the cream), who mostly have at least 90 percent on the 10th boards, think of preparing for JEE Advanced, and the rest choose to focus on the 12th board. On the other hand, UPSC has people from all streams and is much older, so that the capacity for hard work is reduced.
