How To Become A Ca?

You need to follow several steps to become a chartered accountant. You can find detailed steps here to find out how to become a CA candidate. It should be noted that each step is important.

1.Requirements for the Accounting Technician Course (ATC):

After clearing the Chartered Accountant CPT, candidates must sign up for ATC. You can also do this after clearing 10 + 2

Candidates who have passed the entrance exam or professional education or foundation exam will be eligible to register for ATC.

Candidates who have previously registered for intermediate/intermediate (professional competence) courses/professional education (course-II) can register for ATC.

2.Apply for IPCC:

Candidates must obtain at least 100 out of 200 marks in CPT or more after class 12 before applying for the IPCC program.

Registration for the IPCC must be done nine months before the first day of the month in which the exam is taken.

These courses consist of 7 subjects, each with 100 points. For the course to proceed smoothly, you must score at least 40 points in each subject and have a total score of 50% or more.

In any subject, scoring 60 marks and above would prevent you from reappearing for that specific subject if you fail the course and intend to reapply for the exams.

3.Articleship in CA:

After clearing the IPCC, you must have a 3-year internship under a certified CA. This articleship is an opportunity to learn how to handle accounting by experienced chartered accountants.

4.Final course:

You are eligible for final exams in the last six months of your 3-year article-ship. After completing the final course, you will be awarded the title of Chartered Accountant.
